Hello, my name's Selena and I'm the face of LovesVintage43 !
I'm an Islington girl born and bred, but moved to the burbs just before the Millenium. I now live in Hanworth with my husband and I work from the dining table in our tiny little rented flat, dreaming of the day I will have my very own "She-Shed" complete with supersonic craft cupboard, cat, futon, nice soft furnishings and strings of fairy lights ( oh, and one of those little pink fridges too! )
I have always enjoyed creativity and making things and have had an interest in all kinds of art, design & fashion for a long time , particularly the eras from around the turn of the 20th Century . I wanted my own business and had given up on it ever happening as I had sort of become stuck in a retail manager's job but to cut a long story short, suddenly got the opportunity after being accepted on a Government scheme after having been made redundant! I was already self-taught making boho style jewellery as a hobby for friends & family but being a complete and utter technophobe , didn't really know my way fully around a laptop. So, with help from my husband and several courses later in computer skills and various jewellery techniques, here I am finally doing something I love, and working towards that She-Shed dream 🙂
