About me
Vanessa Cooper
Creator/owner of The ARC Shed
Hey there, lovely people!
Guess what? I'm diving into the 'about me' page adventure - hold onto your hats! I'm a proud wifey, a supermum to 5 grown kiddos, and a Nanna to 2 adorable grandkids. Out of the whole crew, only two are artsy, and even they need a nudge to pick up the craft supplies!
Except for my law apprentice daughter in London, we're all settled here in charming Warwickshire, and my 'she shed' sits along a rustic lane in Leamington Spa.
I'm a self-taught artist who's sprinkled in a few courses to level up my skills, and I whip up a bit of magic using acrylic paints and Powertex universal medium, but that's just the tip of the creative iceberg.
I'm a firm believer that we're all born to create beauty, and I'm on a mission to show you how fabulous your projects can be with these mediums too.
My painting style? It's a little dance between Folk Art and Decorative Painting - and spoiler alert: you can totally master this art form too!
Powertex is my secret weapon, a fantastic medium that unlocks endless creativity.
This year, my workshops are going rogue - I'll have set dates, but you can also pick a slot that suits your busy schedule. No FOMO (fear of missing out) on creativity here!
I'm all about sharing my crafty wisdom and guiding you through each project step by step in my little studio. Virtual classes might be in the cards soon, fingers crossed that tech plays nice!
Take a peek at my socials, blog, and online store, and give me a shout with any questions or a virtual high-five online.
Let's get creative together, shall we?

Jolly Giraffe
- Weatherproof art, Powertex art, recycled materials, Powertex sculpture
These are sample pieces being made and the smaller of the two will be offered as a workshop later this year.
It will be completed using transparent Powertex and recycled scrap materials.
I will add a link to the the finished pieces when they are ready.
