China Petals
I use a variety of materials for my mosaics including tiles, stained glass and fine china. I like to repurpose old cups, saucers and plates, nipping, carving and shaping them down into little pieces to create new and exciting artwork. I believe using fine china creates a more delicate mosaic, always pretty and you sometimes have to look closely to realise they are made from recycled china.I am a member of BAMM, the British Association for Modern Mosaics, a Just a Card Supporter and a have been given a Gold Award by Craft Courses for my china mosaic workshops.

I’m Mel the Origamist at The Little Paper Flower Shop where you will find my handmade Origami Paper Flower Bouquets, origami gifts and homeware, cards and gift frames. Everything in my shop is completely unique and handmade by me, one-of-a-kind creations all made from quality papers using traditional origami folding techniques.
My origami world heart and origami paper crane card designs are unique to me. I hand make all of the origami cards which feature either an origami world map heart which is folded 17 times, and my ever popular origami paper cranes cards.

DriftwoodSails is all about handcrafted coastal cottages, seaside & harbour scenes, beach huts, wooden lighthouses, driftwood sailboats, poetry art cottages, handpainted beach pebbles & shells. These artworks are created using salvaged wood, naturally weathered driftwood, chalk paint & other beach finds such as frosted sea glass, tumbled sea slate, smooth pebbles, sand & shells. I also use pressed & dried flowers and leaves from the garden, and wildflowers from the coastline.
